Messi leads Argentina squad for Italy friendly
Manchester City star Sergio Aguero misses out through injury but there's a recall for Roma's Erik Lamela for next month's match versus Cesare Prandelli's team
Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella has announced his 22-man squad for the upcoming international friendly against Italy, with Lionel Messi included in the party.
The Argentines will have to make do without the services of the injured Sergio Aguero when they take on the Euro 2012 finalists, while Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has again been left out.
Messi makes the cut for the clash on August 14, as does Inter midfielder Ricky Alvarez and new Napoli signing Gonzalo Higuain, while Roma's Erik Lamela earns a recall to the squad.
Defenders Cristian Ansaldi and Jose Maria Basanta are two of the more surprising names in Sabella's squad for the Italy clash.
