Messi to resume Barcelona training after one-week holiday
The Argentina international is seven days away from returning to the Catalans for pre-season after a summer filled with activities across the world
Lionel Messi will resume Barcelona training on July 15 after enjoying just one week of holiday following a summer filled with various commitments.

The prolific attacker's 2012-13 campaign came to an end on June 15 after Argentina's 4-0 friendly win over Guatemala, meaning Messi would have a full month off before the start of the new season.

However, the Blaugrana forward then took off for a series of charity games across the world, coming to an end this weekend in Chicago.

Messi has travelled over 90,000 kilometres since the end of Barcelona's season, visiting Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Italy, Senegal, Colombia, Peru and USA.

The 26-year-old was being plagued by physical problems at the end of last season and his brief summer break will do little to reassure Barca's medical staff about his fitness ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
