Ronaldo is a role model - Ancelotti
The former PSG boss believes the attacker's prowess and professionalism makes him a prime example for young players at the club
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as the complete footballer and feels the Portugal international is an example to follow for the club's promising youngsters.

The Santiago Bernabeu side secured the services of youngsters Dani Carvajal, Isco, Casemiro and Asier Illarramendi this summer to add to homegrown prospects such as Alvaro Morata and Jese Rodriguez, and Ancelotti believes Portugal star Ronaldo is the perfect role model for the club's young talent.

"Cristiano is an example for the youth," Ancelotti was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"He has everything a football player needs to be great. And he is great, a really fantastic football player. He’s an example for the young players on the team.

"I ask the players for a competitive spirit, professionalism, and to be aware at all times that they belong to a club with impressive prestige."

Ronaldo's future at the club has been subject to speculation of late as talks over a new contract continue to stall, although president Florentino Perez has stressed his confidence that the 28-year-old will sign fresh terms at the club.

Madrid are currently on their USA tour ahead of next week's La Liga opener at home against Real Betis.

Bale would be a good signing for Madrid, says Isco

Bale would be a good signing for Madrid, says Isco
The attacking midfielder believes the Tottenham star would be a great addition to the squad and is thrilled with the way he has settled in to life in the Spanish capital
Isco feels that Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale would be a good addition for Real Madrid if the Welshman were to make the move to the Liga giants.

Bale has long been linked with a switch to the Spanish capital this summer, although president Florentino Perez has balked at the 24-year-old's proposed €115 million pricetag.

However, former Malaga man Isco believes Bale would prove a worthwhile addition to the squad, although he was quick to highlight the depth of quality already at coach Carlo Ancelotti's disposal.

"The team is really balanced but if Bale comes he would be another plus, which is never a bad thing," Isco told the official Madrid website.

"He’s a great player. I think we already have a solid team, but he would be a good reinforcement."

The attacking midfielder then went on to voice his satisfaction with the way he has adapted to life at Santiago Bernabeu following his €30m move this summer.

"Everything’s been going really well. I adapted fairly quickly and my teammates have helped me loads," he added. "There’s a really good vibe and we have to keep it that way."

Edward Snowden Secret Email Website Shut Down

Lavabit closes down amid Snowden row
An encrypted email service believed to have been used by US leaker Edward Snowden has shut down, apparently as a result of pressure from US authorities.
Lavabit owner Ladar Levison posted a message on the website telling users that he was pulling the plug on the secure email service launched in Texas nearly a decade ago.
"I have been forced to make a difficult decision: to become complicit in crimes against the American people or walk away from nearly 10 years of hard work by shutting down Lavabit," Mr Levison said.
"After significant soul searching, I have decided to suspend operations."
He lamented that he was barred from sharing details of what prompted Lavabit's demise.
US law allows national security officials to make requests to companies that come with the caveat they must be kept secret.
"As things currently stand, I cannot share my experiences over the last six weeks, even though I have twice made the appropriate requests," the Lavabit founder said.
The website was put in the spotlight after it was reported that former US National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden was using the service to exchange messages while he was holed-up in a Moscow airport.
The US whistleblower is wanted in to the US for his revelations and is currently living at an unknown location in Russia after Moscow granted him temporary asylum for a year on August 1.
His father, Lon Snowden, has applied for a travel visa to Russia and hopes to be able to visit his son as soon as next week.

FA Boss: Summer World Cup In Qatar 'Impossible'

Qatar 2022
A summer World Cup in Qatar in 2022 would be "impossible", says the FA's new chairman Greg Dyke.
Mr Dyke says FIFA has two choices - to move the World Cup to a cooler part of the year or give the tournament to another country.
But he believes a winter World Cup is more likely.
It is the first time the FA has taken a formal position on the controversial issue, although Mr Dyke's predecessor David Bernstein said in June that any plans to move the World Cup to the winter were "fundamentally flawed".
The latest statement could lead to some differences with the Premier League, whose chief executive Richard Scudamore strongly opposes any move to change the World Cup to the winter.
Mr Scudamore says such a move would cause disruption to domestic club competitions.
Mr Dyke said: "I don't know how many people have been to Qatar in June. I have. The one thing I can tell you is you can't play a football tournament in Qatar in June.
GREG DYKE
"Even if all the stadia are air-conditioned - which seems a bit strange in terms of the green policy - it would be impossible for the fans just to go out there, wander around in that sort of heat.
"The FA's position will be you can't play it in summer in Qatar.
"FIFA therefore has two choices; you either move it in time or to another location.
"I suspect either ends up in some sort of litigation, but then someone should have worked that out in 2010 when it was awarded.
"It is then up to FIFA to decide whether to move it from Qatar or move it into autumn or winter. That's what the discussions will be over the next few months.
"I understand the reaction of the Premier League to not want to move it. I have some sympathy with them.
"They didn't have to choose to give it to Qatar in the summer but that's where it is. It will either have to be moved out of the summer or another location. I suspect the former is more likely than the latter."
